Avery Schafer: Birth Announcement
For a side project, I helped my sister get a design together for her baby girl’s birth announcement. I think these turned out pretty nice. I’m not in love with the font on the bottom section. Typography No-Nos aside, it turned out aok!
Digital Narratives Final
Ok, it’s done! I’m not totally pumped about my process notes, but it’s a fair attempt at an analysis. And I’m still fighting this cold! The project is a simulated space that takes several short stories and chops them up in to fragments and places them at a random spot inside the space. Selected Shorts… Continue reading Digital Narratives Final
Digital Narratives Final
Ack! I’m knee-deep in my digital narratives final project and it’s slow goin’. So I’m taking a small break to regroup before I get back to adding content. Hopefully I can get the messaging added in the next day or two so I can focus some time on adding art. And this coming weekend will… Continue reading Digital Narratives Final
Nokia: Get Out and Play
While loading and waiting on some video files to finish compressing, I checked the blogs. Found this lovely site from UX Mag. Here’s a fun stop-motion ad spot for Nokia. Includes a 3D (ish?) game of human tetris. Get Out And Play! (You might want to skip the arkanoid-like game at the beginning.)
Church Newsletter

And I’m… Continue reading Church Newsletter
Sound Design: One-Note Song
Here is my first whack at a 1-minute “one note” song in Garage Band for Sound Design class. The assignment was to create a one-minute, one-note song using Garage Band. My first real song-makin’ experience was ok! The project started and ended in tonight’s 3-hour study window. Pretty simple, but it is a good first… Continue reading Sound Design: One-Note Song
Sound Design: Mood Project
We’re working on a mood simulator in sound design class. I must confess, I’m a total noob at designing sounds and I probably will never be good at doing sound work. However, it feels good to take a class on this subject and participate in the exploration of new ideas. The assignment: Design 6 ten-second-length… Continue reading Sound Design: Mood Project
hrp.com – Cool Hand-powered Navigation
Spotted on UX Mag. The Publicis & Hal Riney site asks you navigate via mouse OR your HAND (via webcam). That’s right, the flash-powered site requests access of your web cam… and then you can navigate the site with movements of your hand.
Post-It Note Drawings
I saw this link to Post-It note drawings from Coudal and had to sneak a peek. Lovely.
